How it works
The Daily Dossier sits in its own section at the top of the casebook, above the hand-crafted collection. Today’s case is featured front and center with the date on it; earlier days are kept below so you can catch up on any you missed.
Every daily case is generated fresh and checked to make sure it is actually solvable before it ever reaches you, so the contradiction is always there to find. The hand-crafted casebook is still the hand-crafted casebook. Those cases are not going anywhere.
Why we built it
A murder mystery is the perfect daily ritual. Short enough to do with your coffee, sharp enough to feel clever when the alibi cracks. We wanted a reason to open INQUEST every day, and a case that is always new is the best one we could think of.
